About the Institute
The Institute of Psychology and Wellbeing is designed to make psychology knowledge accessible to everyone.
The Institute offers high quality psychology content delivered in a way to enhance learning outcomes, without the cost and commitment of enrolling in a specialised psychology university degree.
The primary aim is to deliver applied psychology content, with real-world applications.
The Institute was developed to assist those who require psychology knowledge and skills for use either personally or professionally.

Aims
At the Institute we aim to:
- Increase confidence through live feedback and assessment tasks, designed to enhance learning outcomes.
- Deliver high-quality content at a reasonable cost.
- Support learning through face to face and Zoom delivered options to increase student engagement.
The programs on offer include workshops, face to face block teaching and zoom delivered programs. The benefits of these forms of delivery are enhance student engagement and increased confidence in the skills learnt. Online self-paced programs are also planned, with appropriate subjects being selected for this form of delivery.
Learners and students
Our programs, courses and workshops are designed to suit a range of different students from professionals who would like additional training in psychology to individuals who would like to learn psychology for personal growth and development.
There is no requirement for an undergraduate degree to complete any of our training. Some subjects have pre-requisites; however, these will be clearly stated upon enrolment and on the website.
The language of delivery is English, and all course materials will be delivered assuming that all students have a good knowledge of the English language.
Some subjects will offer assessment tasks as part of the subject. These will usually be for practical courses, where demonstration of skills is required to ensure successful completion of the subject. Any subjects that have an assessment component will include this in the course description.

Professionals
Professional and workplace training for adults is also offered by the Institute.
There are no pre-requisites required for the majority of professional programs.Our programs are structured so that you have best likelihood of success and have increased engagement with our content.
Teaching staff
The Institute has been developed by trained psychologists working in the field who have extensive expertise in psychology training and workshop/course delivery. Staff are experienced at teaching psychology programs and workshops for clinicians and in university settings.
Only the highest trained staff are selected for the delivery of our programs. Your trainer will have obtained a minimum 4 year qualification in psychology and will have either a PhD and/or a Masters level professional qualification (eg Clinical Psychology or Professional Psychology).
Certificate
All students who successfully complete any of our training will be awarded a completion certificate if any assessments have been completed. If there are no assessment tasks or if assessment requirements are not met, a certificate of attendance will be awarded.
